Motorola is now said to be working on a new smartphone which is codenamed Motorola Bounce. By the looks of it, the handset seems to be a more rugged and more compact version of the Moto X Style flagship. The new smartphone is allegedly set for a December unveiling, which would be just in time for the lucrative holiday season. The leak is coming from upleaks which claims the device will feature the following:
5.43″ QHD screen Snapdragon 810 chipset paired to 3GB of RAM 32GB or 64GB of built-in storage 21MP back camera and a 5MP selfie camera 3,760mAh
Compared to the Moto X Style and the Moto X Play, it comes with the smallest display of them all, but has the most powerful processor. Also, the battery seems to be a quite big one, hinting that the device is going to be aimed at users who spend a lot of time outdoor. The codename ‘Bounce’ can also be perceived as a hint towards that. Furthermore, as it has been revealed, there is a a “shatterproof” label on the device, which suggests a MIL-STD rating, thus revealing that the device is going to be a rugged one. The IP rating isn’t present on the device, so this means it won’t have dust and water resistance. As we can see from the above image, the smartphone seems to feature same design profile as the recently announced handsets. Motorola is also said to be working a new smartwatch, so maybe the company is planning to announce the new products at the same event.
