Xiaomi seems to have displaced the fingerprint sensor from the back to the front similar to what it has done with the Mi 5. This also means that the upcoming Redmi 4X might be the first device from the Redmi series to sport a front fingerprint scanner. The rear is reminiscent of the recent Redmi series with metal body and a set of hemispherical antenna lines running across the device.
That apart there are no more details available about the phone except for the earlier leaked specifications. The specification claims that the Redmi Note 4X will come fitted with a Snapdragon 653 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, we would like to mention that the device spotted on TENAA comes with a rear fingerprint scanner and this leads us to two possibilities, either the TENAA image is not that of the Redmi Note 4X or the leaked images are not of Redmi Note 4X. At this juncture, it would only be wise to entertain the possibilities and just like all the other rumors take this one with dollops of salt. Xiaomi closed the last year on a good note and also made their debut appearance at CES. The company unveiled its thinnest TV yet, the Mi TV 4 and also announced the White colored Mi Mix device, though both were meant largely for the Chinese market. For Xiaomi it’s the Redmi series that is raking in a lot of sales and it is only natural for them to keep coming up with iterative upgrades.
