Windows 11 Release date: October 5, 2021 – save the date
Windows 11 is available to selected users as of now under the Insider Preview Program by Microsoft, on computers supporting TPM 2.0. This is a key eligibility factor for Windows 11 to be installed on any machine. However, Microsoft themselves have confirmed that they will not restrict users from installing Windows 11 on systems without TPM 2.0 support. The process though will take a few steps more as users without TPM 2.0 will have to manually install Windows 11 through an ISO file. For users with supported systems, the Windows 11 upgrade is absolutely free of cost and can be installed on any supported computer when the rollout begins. Eligible users can update their system to Windows 11 once the official rollout begins on 5th October 2021. The process for users having computers without TPM 2.0 will require a few more steps, and we will update with a guide on the same after the rollout. Microsoft also says that they are constantly trying to expand the list of supported systems to older computers, and will try to get maximum users upgraded on its newest version of Windows. If you don’t have a supported system and wish to have early access to Windows 11 on your computer, it is possible by installing Windows using the Windows 11 ISO file. You can refer to our guide on how to install Windows 11 on unsupported systems without TPM 2.0. With the Windows 11 update just around the corner, things start to get interesting as more users jump on the train of the latest Windows version by Microsoft. Which new feature in Windows 11 are you excited for? For us, it has to be the support for Android applications, which we are eager to test.
