Xiaomi products have always managed to create a hype and this time it’s no different either, the rumor mills are predicting that the Mi Max will come powered with the company’s in-house processing unit called ‘Rifle’. The SoC is apparently designed by Xiaomi in collaboration with Datang corporation. The Xiaomi Mi Max is also speculated to come equipped with a 6.4-inch QHD display and 6GB of RAM. It is still uncertain on which SoC it will come powered with. The Max would be an entirely new phablet line up and it is also expected that Xiaomi will bake in a physical home button along with the fingerprint scanner. Now moving on, MIUI 8 is expected to come with a bucket load of new features and it won’t be surprising to see a few India centric features tossed in as well. We just hope that the MIUI 8 is not just a MIUI 7 makeover and it should be able to catch up with other custom ROMs in the market when it comes to features. The expected features in MIUI 8 include a notification tab from which you can reply directly (like in Android N preview), Integrated keyboard, advanced file explorer, better camera app and better integration with the cloud drives. On a related note, Creo who unveiled their Mark 1 a few weeks back, surprised us with the deeply integrated features they had baked in their Fuel OS and this is something that we expect Xiaomi to do this time around. As of now the details about the MIUI 8 and the Mi Max is both scarce and contradictory in nature. We are expecting more details to surface as we near the launch date, stay tuned!
