The Mi Pad 3 will be the biggest tablet from the Xiaomi stable thanks to a 9.7-inch display set at a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels thus matching with iPad Pro when it comes to size and display resolution. At 6.08mm the Mi Pad 3 is thinner than the iPad Pro. The pictures show off the Mi Pad 3 in full metal body and dual speakers. The Mi Pad 3 weighs in at 380gms and houses an 8290mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support along with the USB Type-C port at the bottom.
The leak claims that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is expected to be powered by the 7th Gen Core M processor coupled with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU and a humongous 8GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device will offer a choice between either 128GB or 256GB. Despite being a tablet the Mi Pad 3 sports a 16-Megapixel rear sensor with dual-tone flash and an 8-Megapixel front sensor. In all likelihood, the Mi Pad 3 may be launched with Windows 10 and will come pre-installed with Office.
What raises the suspicion for us is that the leak claims that the device comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support (which is Qualcomm’s tech), while saying it’s powered by a Core M processor (which is an Intel processor). Is it because there will be two different variants of Mi Pad 3? We don’t know. In order to complement the device, the leaks claim that Xiaomi will also be releasing an additional keyboard dock and this is something that will appease the buyers looking for a compatible machine to work on the go.
As per the leaked documents the Mi Pad 3 is expected to be priced at 1,999 Yuan (apprx.$289) for the 128GB and 2,999 Yuan (apprx. $333) for the 256GB version. The keyboard dock is likely to cost 99 Yuan (apprx.$14). We shall end with a cliche. Take this rumor/leak with an ounch of salt.
