The Yi M1 however is a relatively compact mirrorless camera that comes in two color options namely Matte Black and Silver. As a matter of fact, the Yi M1 Mirrorless camera looks rather similar to the recently launched mirrorless camera by Leica. The camera from XiaoYi makes use of a M4/3 mirrorless camera setup that utilizes a 20.16 MP Sony IMX269 sensor. It is capable of shooting 4K videos and RAW images. The Yi M1 boasts of a mechanical shutter, super continuous shooting and can capture images at as high as 25,600 ISO.

The Mirrorless camera from XiaoYi that sports a 3 inch display at the back and four buttons to the sides, comes with a set of two lens. One of them is a f/2.5-5.6 12-40mm zoom lens while the other is a f/1.8 42.5mm fixed focus lens. The lens comes with a button that provides users the option to switch between Macro and Normal modes. XiaoYi claims that their camera comes with a very simple interface thus capturing images as simple as shooting via your smartphone’s camera.

It’s however worth noting that the pricing of the XiaoYi camera will vary depending on the lens you opt for. The Yi M1 with the standard lens is priced at 2199 Yuan (Rs 22,068/$330 approx.) while the dual lens kit comes at a significantly higher price of 2999 Yuan (Rs 30,097/$450 approx.) The camera is scheduled to go on sale in China on September 23 via JD.com. As expected XiaoYi hasn’t yet come out with their plans to launch this product in international markets as of yet.
